The consequences of bad governance

Bad governance has its negative effects in Africa especially in Nigeria.Bad governance has eaten deep into our society so much so that the people are becoming used to it and have started seeing it as a way of life.A president moving from one country to the other while his people are languishing in pains inflicted on them by scarcity of the major commodities needed for daily running around, inflation in the price of goods and services attributed to the high rate of dollar and other foreign currencies in the forex market, insecurity caused by the menace of bokoharam, etc.
In the south east states more especially in IMO state where a state governor will owe his workers 4 months salaries only for him to pay one month's70% of the workers salaries deducting 30% from their salaries under the pretext that the bailout money meant for their salaries was tampered with, but had 40 billion naira which he lavished recklessly in Rivers state APC/ PDP election which was conducted recently in portharcourt. As if that was not enough,he instructed the account department of his cabinet to work on the workers salaries by 50%,another reduction made, summing up to 50% of the workers salaries as against the usual 100% monthly take home package.
What have our political leaders reduced to,that someone who was elected into office to lead the people to greatness is now the one leading them to poverty and untold hardship. Trying to kill the civil service in your state does not make you a hero.If people leave the civil service due to frustration, he cannot carryout the responsibilities nor tasks involved
This is the current situation the civil servants in IMO state are currently facing and it seems like the solution is not in sight.
