Agriculture, our savoir in times of famine

Nigeria since the "change to the new government",we  have been facing series of crisis ranging from fuel scarcity,attack on oil pipelines by militants, inflation in the prices of goods and services due to the high exchange of dollar against the naira, none payment of workers salaries,kidnapping,hike in fuel price that led to the ongoing strike and protests going on in the country which is not being observed by all the states in Nigeria.Amidst all these, little or no thoughts is given to Agriculture as all our thoughts and actions have been channelled to petroleum and none payment of salaries; it's high time we channelled our energy and resources to the never failing helper in times of need because the way to man's heart is through his stomach.With the way the country is heading,it is pertinent to engage ourselves in Agriculture to help ease the bitting hunger that is slowly encroaching into our territories.
 Our lands are richly blessed with nutrients rich enough to grow our essential crops to help put food on our tables while we tackle the economic problem of our country.
As we donot know how long this economic crisis will last,what we do know for sure is that we can contribute in our own little way to help eradicate this famine threatening our existence as Nigerians.
